History
William Fremont Harn of Mansfield, OH was appointed as a Federal Agent in 1891 with the assignment to settle Land Run disputes. During his period of service, he developed a strong love for Oklahoma territory and when his appointment expired, he purchased this lot and built a home on it in 1904. He later donated 40 acres of his property for the construction of the state capitol building in Oklahoma City. The property was donated to the City of OKC as a city park in the 1970's and later it was incorporated as a private non-profit museum in 1986.
