The Flintco Companies began as Tulsa Rig, Reel & Manufacturing in 1908, supplying wooden oilfield rigs and derricks during Oklahoma s oil boom in the early 1900s. C.W. Flint joined TRR in 1911, and by 1919, he and a partner owned the company. The company established lumberyards in oilfields, entered the construction business and expanded into general building contracting with the purchase of the Fornier Construction Company in 1936. In 1972, the company changed its name to Flintco. The Flintco Companies, with its two primary operating companies, Flintco and Oakridge Builders, provide a range of services to meet clients construction needs. Engineering News Record magazine has ranked Flintco as one of the largest contractors in the country, as well as one of the top contractors of correctional, entertainment, sports and educational facilities. Flintco Companies has its headquarters in Tulsa, Okla., and offices in several states in the Southwest.
