Oklahoma State Reformatory s Dick Conner Correctional Center is a security facility that was opened in 1979. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is a state agency that is responsible for the administration of the state prison system. The department administers the Thinking for a Change Program, which serves over 1,060 individuals. It also conducts several substance abuse and educational programs. The department works with a team of nearly 4,680 staff members. It deals in assault, robbery, rape, and violet and nonviolent offenses. In addition, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections assigns several work programs to offenders.
