Covington Aircraft Engines has become a world leader in aircraft engine overhaul and repair, specializing in Pratt & Whitney R-985 and R-1340 radial engines and PT6A turbine engines. Covington employs more than 60 people in a facility occupying more than 45,000 square feet of space. In addition to engine overhaul and repair work, it performs engine installations, operates engine testing facilities and carries a large inventory of replacement parts. The company also ships engines and parts to customers throughout the world. Covington performs all stages of engine repair and overhaul work in-house. It performs non-destructive testing to verify the integrity of critical parts. It uses computer-controlled machinery for necessary machining, grinding and balancing prior to assembly. Covington Aircraft was founded in 1972 and maintains headquarters in Okmulgee, Okla.
