Community Intervention Center, located in Oklahoma City, serves as a 24-hour juvenile reception and intervention hub for youth arrested in the entire Oklahoma County, Okla,. Licensed by the Office of Juvenile Affairs, it is one of the services provided by Youth Services for Oklahoma County, a nonprofit community organization that advocates, educates, intervenes and counsels troubled youth and families to make a positive difference in their lives. Youth brought to the center get a glimpse of the realities of the justice system. They are listed in the state juvenile on-line tracking system, photographed and some are fingerprinted according to the offense. Parents are notified quickly upon admittance and youth are released to their custody or that of a guardian within 24-hours.
