Founded in 1892 as the Citizens Bank of the Chickasha Indian Territory, The First National Bank and Trust Company is the oldest business institution in Chickasha, Okla. Over the years, the bank has acquired or merged with many other banking operations, including Farmers National Bank in 1931, First National Bank of Alex in 1994, First National Bank of Rush in 1996, First American Bank of Minco in 2001 and Tri-Star National Bank in 2003. Through these acquisitions and organic growth, the bank boasts assets in excess of $220 million and has nine branch locations in Chickasha, Alex, Rush Springs, Minco, Tuttle, Blanchard and Newcastle, Okla. The First National Bank and Trust Company also operates First Independent Capital, its wholly owned mortgage subsidiary that was founded in 2000.
