ASTEC, or Advanced Science and Technology Education Center, based in Oklahoma City, is a science and technology education center. The center develops programs and materials using the themes of science and technology. It offers various activities and programs for students, including after school programs, summer camps, outreach, and adult and corporate programs. ASTEC operates charter schools, high schools and virtual schools. The schools offer a wide range of electives and facilities, such as administrative offices, classrooms, computer labs, multipurpose rooms, storage areas, library and media centers, teachers lounges, and workrooms. The schools also provide various extracurricular activities, such as study halls, sports, clubs and arts. ASTEC s summer camp programs offer day and residential camps for students, ages 5 to 18.
