The Amateur Softball Association of America, founded in 1933, is one of the largest, nonprofit organizations the United States. It is a national governing body of softball in the U.S. The association sanctions competitions in various states through a network of more than 80 local associations. The Amateur Softball Association of America has over 3 million members. It also operates a stadium and conducts nearly 100 national championships on an annual basis. The association has an educational library of softball training manuals and videotapes.
