The Juvenile Court is governed by the Washington County in Ohio. It handles cases related to abuse, neglected, dependent, unruly and delinquent children, juvenile traffic offenders, custody, visitation, parentage and child support actions. The court also handles cases charging adults with contributing to the delinquency and unruliness of children. It operates the Washington County Juvenile Center, which administers residential treatment and rehabilitation programs for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. The Juvenile Court has a probation department that conducts a community-based corrections program. It additionally offers drug and alcohol counseling, anger management, optical care and on-site mental health services through various organizations.
