VFW Post 9904 is located on the corner of Cleveland Avenue NW and Lee Avenue NW. It is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of Veterans and their communities. The mission is "To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans." It provides college scholarship programs, work on legislation and volunteer in the community. Membership information can be found on its Web site.
