The Division of Surgical Oncology conducts clinical and basic researches for the evaluation and management of cancer. The division is a part of the Department of Surgery at The Ohio State University. Its focuses on topics related to the Analog studies of retinoid glucuronide activity, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and polyvalent melanoma vaccine. The Division of Surgical Oncology assists in treatment of breast and bowel cancers in patients. The division s areas of expertise include gastrointestinal cancer, melanoma, soft tissue sarcoma, and head and neck cancer. Its two-year fellowship program includes clinical and basic research work. The Division of Surgical Oncology combines specialized surgical techniques with radiation and chemotherapy.
