First Presbyterian Church of Beaver has the unique distinction of being in existence for more than 200 years, yet we are in an extended period of renewal and vitality. Because we have been around so long we unashamedly embrace certain traditions, yet our halls are full of laughter, youth and energy. We have a wonderful, gifted and united staff. Our senior pastor has served First Presbyterian for ten years. We have a history of strong tenure in our youth, music and associate pastor positions. Our support staff are highly invested in their work, and they love the church. We represent a strong blend of all age groups. Our older adults are active and involved in community and church. We have strong families and singles of all ages. We are blessed with wonderful children s and youth ministries. We believe that God has given us the ability to respond to these and other challenges. Our ministries described in the following pages reflect the response of God's people First Presbyterian Church. And we are not finished, either. To the ministries listed in this guide we will add others as God calls and gifts us.
