The Southwestern Ohio Beekeepers Association (SWOBA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering beekeeping interest and skill among beginners and experienced beekeepers in the tri-states area of Cincinnati and surrounding counties. With members from Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, SWOBA aims to raise awareness about the importance of honeybees to our environment and food supply while providing a supportive community for beekeepers of all levels of experience.
SWOBA members, including those with over 50 years of experience, maintain two to forty or more hives, producing honey, beeswax, pollen, and propolis for personal use, gifts, and even as a source of income. The association holds a combination of in-person and online Zoom meetings, with an annual beekeepers school and access to resources and beekeeping books available to members.
