Solvay Advanced Polymers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solvay America, was formed in November 2001 by combining the company s existing line of engineering polymers with those acquired from BP Amoco. This combination of assets created a new participant in the high performance plastics industry. Its product line consists of amorphous, semi-crystalline and ultra-high performance polymers. These products are able to meet a variety of challenges posed by high temperatures, mechanical stresses and aggressive chemical environments present in a number of diverse markets that include the aerospace, automotive, electronics, food service, industrial equipment, medical, plumbing and water purification industries. Solvay Advanced Polymers has offices in the North America, South America, Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia, such as the location in Marietta, Ohio.
