During the 1920s, two elementary school-aged brothers, Carl and Donald Sims, because of economic necessity, started collecting scrap metals and waste paper throughout Marion, Ohio. They sold their materials to a local scrap processor. The company the brothers started, Sims Brothers, has been collecting scraps ever since. Sims Brothers provides services relating to the managing of its scrap stream. The scrap management company buys, transports, processes and sells a variety of recyclable products including scrap iron and steel, nonferrous metals, cardboard, newspaper, plastics and glass. Sims Brothers also supplies containers for convenient scrap and trash handling. The company is located in Marion, Bellefontaine, Delaware and Columbus, Ohio.
