The Recreation Unlimited Foundation is a more than $13 million building and endowment campaign of Recreation Unlimited, which is a nonprofit organization that serves over 3,000 individuals. The parent organization provides year-round programs in sports, recreation and education. Its programs help to build self-confidence and promote positive human relations. Founded in 1958, Recreation Unlimited serves individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. The parent organization s camps are supported by gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and proceeds from a variety of special events. It represents nearly 15 physical and developmental disability groups from approximately 40 counties in Ohio. Recreation Unlimited features a multipurpose lodge, arts building, dining hall, outdoor pavilion, health services center and residence halls.
