The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association is commonly known as OCSEA and is an affiliate of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. It is located in Westerville, Ohio. It has more than 35,000 members and represents over 25 state agencies, boards and commissions. Its members work in a variety of government agencies and institutions. The association has more 15 independent state-elected officials and local governments. It offers various services, such as contract negotiations, arbitrations, lobbying on issues that affect public employees, legal services, education programs, conventions, conferences, publications, facilities costs, utilities and supplies. The political action funds raised through voluntary donations are distributed through AFSCME's people program and OCSEA's political action committee. The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association also monitors that its members are provided a safe and healthy working environment.
