The Ottoville Fire Department, established in 1892, has been providing fire protection to Ottoville and the surrounding area for over a century. With a rich history and a dedicated team of 31 active firefighters, the department is equipped with modern firefighting apparatus, including a Chevy Mini-Pumper, an Emergency-One Pumper, and a Vacuum Tanker, among others, to effectively respond to emergencies in its 56 square mile first alarm response area.
Under the leadership of Chief Gary Wurst and Assistant Chief Chad Landin, the Ottoville Volunteer Fire Department is committed to protecting and serving the residents of Ottoville and neighboring areas through its prompt and efficient emergency response. With several firefighters cross-trained as Emergency Medical Technicians or Paramedics, the department ensures the safety and well-being of the community it serves.
