Stanka Kordic is a first-generation Croatian-American oil painter based in Cleveland Heights that specializes in "alternative portraiture" - commissioned portraits that seek to rise above standard portrait painting to capture a more finely distilled impression of the subject based on conversations and intuitive observations of the individual. Kordic has exhibited her work in several shows throughout the U.S. and is featured in many corporate collections including those of Key Bank, Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals. She is also Artist in Residence at Beaumont School. Commissioned paintings start at $7,000 for single-figure portraits.
