Operational for more than 100 years, the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical services to over 25,000 residents. It maintains an operations division that offers heavy, confined space and dive rescue services, hazardous materials response and annual fire hydrant maintenance. The department also conducts various fire prevention and public education programs. The Loveland-Symmes Fire Department provides fire prevention through safety programs in schools, regular fire drills, and inspections of commercial properties, multifamily dwellings and places of public assembly. It operates a communication center that coordinates responses to various emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The department operates more than three fire stations that house ambulances, medics, engines, pumps, brush trucks, tanks and vehicle extrication tools. The Loveland-Symmes Fire Department is recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services. It is located in Loveland, Ohio.
