The Lake County Council on Aging is a nonprofit organization that has been serving senior citizens, their families and caregivers since 1972. Located in Mentor, Ohio, the organization publishes a newspaper with relevant information for individuals above 55-years. It organizes computer classes, congregate lunches, and employment and housekeeping services. The Lake County Council on Aging offers the Gatekeeper Program that trains citizens to locate and identify senior citizens living alone in need of assistance. The organization s H.E.L.P Program offers walkers, bedside commodes, tub seats and other medical equipment and supplies. It additionally delivers subsidized meals to homebound frail and disabled clients on a donation basis.
