L.A.C.C.A.'s Head Start is a program that provides a variety of health care, educational and nutritional curricula for low-income preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5. It offers home- and center-based programs for children and their families. The center provides parenting, training and general educational development classes. It additionally offers speech, hearing, vision and child developmental screening services. The center also provides skills development, transportation and counseling services. It organizes various social outdoor activities, such as field trips and birthday parties. L.A.C.C.A.'s Head Start is a part of L.A.C.C.A., which was founded in 1993 and is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of educational and child developmental programs for children below the age of 18.
