As a counseling psychologist, I take a process-oriented approach to patient care with humanistic, psychodynamic and developmental considerations. I provide individual and couples counseling and I specialize in treating anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders. In addition, I facilitate a skills-based group designed to assist patients who are struggling with chronic pain. I use evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and solution-focused therapies, and tailor treatment to meet the unique needs of each patient. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort grounded in the strength of the patient-physician relationship, which itself can be transformative and healing. I enjoy working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of the exciting and collaborative atmosphere. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities to grow while working alongside a number of talented faculty and staff dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality car n my free time, I like to spend time outdoors working in the yard. I also enjoy reading and drinking a good cup of coffee.

As a psychologist, I specialize in treating insomnia, anxiety disorders and PTSD. I love what I do because every day I am struck by the resilience and motivation of the patients I meet with and the ways in which they work to change aspects of their lives or themselves that are no longer serving the 'm a cognitive-behavioral therapist, which means that my sessions tend to be semi-structured, often with assignments for the patient to complete in between our appointments. This may involve filling out specific handouts or noticing particular thoughts or feelings as they arise over the course of the week. I offer evidence-based care but work to tailor these approaches to the individual in the roo have found the atmosphere at The Ohio State University to be very welcoming and patient-centered. It's obvious how much many of my colleagues genuinely enjoy and find meaning in the work they d n my free time, I enjoy taking walks with my family, yoga, and getting together with friends and family for good food and even better conversation.

As a psychiatrist, I'm passionate about helping children and adolescents with sleep and mood disorders. When it comes to patient care, I believe in helping patients as much as possible to overcome their struggles with sleep and mood disorder leep is critically important and there is a large overlap between sleep and mood disorders. My background in both pediatric mood disorders and sleep medicine allows me to best help my patients. I am one of the few physicians in the nation who is board certified in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and sleep disorders medicin y favorite part about working at Ohio State are the patients that I have the opportunity to work with every da hen I'm not working, I enjoy spending my free time reading, watching movies, doing Pilates and Krav Maga.
