Foseco was founded by Eric Weiss in 1932 and became established as a supplier to the Foundry Industry, from where the name Foundry Service Company was derived. In the 1950s Foseco entered the steel industry and quickly developed products for use in the ingot casting process. Later, when continuous casting began to gain acceptance, the company's progressive approach was applied to this new steel-manufacturing route. Foseco has been associated with the metals industry for more than 70 years. The company is now a world supplier of consumable products for use in the foundry and steel making industries with a presence in 34 countries. Foseco has its major facilities in Germany, United Kingdom, Brazil, China, India, South Korea, Japan, as well as its United States headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio.
