First Call For Help, founded in 1984, is a nonprofit organization offering information and referral service to the community. Located in Napoleon, Ohio, it provides full-time and on-call mental health professionals, and home-based stabilization services and prehospitalization screenings in accordance with the Mental Health Law. It has a residential treatment program providing 24-hour psychiatric services for adults with mental illness and others in crisis. It has a crisis stabilization unit for patients with mental illness undergoing restrictive treatment. It also offers child and adolescent emergency services. In collaboration with five county alcohol and drug programs, the organization offers outpatient dual diagnosis services for low-income families.
