After traveling throughout North America pursuing the art of making gourmet pizza and conducting research that included course work at the Natural Foods Cookery School in New York City, Peter and Laurie Danis opened the first Figlio restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, in 1991. Figlio has been named one of the top ten restaurants by the Columbus Dispatch. Additionally, the Zagat Survey publication named Figlio as the top gourmet pizza in the city. The eatery serves roasted garlic, wild mushroom, pepperoni and mushroom, bo rbon barbeque chicken and goat cheese pizzas.
