The Lorain County Clerk of Court of Common Pleas office is responsible for various administrative and ministerial duties in conjunction with the Court of Common Pleas in the state of Ohio. Its responsibilities include record creation, maintenance, reporting and retention of the activities of the court and the issuance of process. The clerk s office is also responsible for the receipt and disbursement of all money paid into the court system. It is also charged with the duty of preparing and maintaining records of the Certificate of Title for all vehicles and watercraft owned by several residents of Lorain County in Ohio. The Lorain County Clerk of Court of Common Pleas office prepares approximately 100,000 new titles each year. The office is a part of the government of Lorain County in Ohio.
