Columbus Montessori Education Center, established in 1984, is a nonprofit community organization. It includes a center for children aged six weeks through three years, classrooms for two- and three-year-old children, and an elementary and middle school for grades first through eight. The center also provides a teacher education program that prepares adults to work with children in an infant and early-childhood Montessori environment. Columbus Montessori Education Center is an accredited Montessori Academy. The center is also charted by the State of Ohio Department of Education for its kindergarten and elementary programs.
