Established in 1873, the May Festival is a Cincinnati-based spring musical event that features a variety of vocal and instrumental musicians. It includes performances by nationally and internationally acclaimed guest soloists and conductors. The festival also conducts performances of local and regional choral groups. The May Festival s chorus group is comprised of several volunteers and members, including teachers, doctors, accountants, students, attorneys, parents and grandparents. In addition, the festival maintains a youth chorus group that performs in schools, churches and other local concert venues. The May Festival is produced by the Cincinnati Musical Festival Association, a nonprofit corporation, and managed by the staff of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
