Community Development and Planning is a department that works under the government of Cincinnati. It works to provide economic and workforce and quality housing development, historic conservation, land use management, arts and cultural amenities and social services for residents. The department has a housing division that offers several housing programs and services to residential developers, renters, and homebuyers and homeowners. Community Development and Planning also offers various human services, such as emergency food and shelter assistance, after-school and tutoring, youth leadership development and education to teenagers parents. It additionally provides self-sufficiency training, individual and group counseling and AIDS education, as well as conducts adult and child abuse prevention programs. The department offers permits for fountain square and issues street vendors licenses. Community Development and Planning hosts various neighborhood development programs.
