The Greater Warren-Youngstown Urban League (GWYUL) is an affiliate of the National Urban League, established in 1930 with a mission to eradicate racial discrimination and promote parity for minorities in American life. Through their five-point strategy, GWYUL aims to empower African Americans and underserved urban residents in Trumbull and Mahoning Counties, enabling them to achieve economic self-reliance, civil rights, and leadership empowerment.
With a rich history dating back to 1910, GWYUL continues to change lives by focusing on education and youth empowerment, economic empowerment, health and quality of life empowerment, civic engagement and leadership empowerment, as well as civil rights and racial justice empowerment.
