When Ford C. Davis heard about a new film product called polyethylene, he obtained some scrap rolls of the product and launched Buckeye Packaging. From a barn and a homemade machine designed to turn polyethylene film into bags, the company has grown to include more than 100 employees and a modern factory utilizing the latest innovations in the industry. Under the leadership of Ford s son, Ron, Buckeye evolved from a small converter of plain bags, into a fully integrated supplier of custom-printed, flexible packaging films and bags. Many of the company s customers have been with Buckeye for decades.
