Founded in 1923, Beulah Park is Ohio s first original racetrack. During the early years, the track was referred to as the 'Little Saratoga' of the Midwest. The reputation of the Grove City, Ohio, facility is enhanced by a multimillion dollar master plan of redevelopment and restoration. Since the purchase of the track by Columbus, Ohio, developer Charles Ruma in 1986, more than $12 million has been spent on improvements to the park s grandstand, clubhouse and backside barn areas. In addition to a banked and spiraled track surface, Beulah Park has built an outdoor paddock area and plaza. Beulah Park s outdoor walking ring is the showpiece of the restoration project.
