The Beckwith family has been farming in Portage County since 1878. Today, the large farm store sells an array of fresh fruits, baked goods, and gift items, offers a small corn maze for visitors in the fall, and hosts a variety of community and private events on its historic property.
In addition to the farm's fruit, Beckwith's sells apple cider in season, freshly baked pies (apple, peach, pumpkin) and features live music on many fall weekends, usually from local school ensembles and other performers.
Beckwith Orchard offers field trips each fall, hosting hundreds of school children who can enjoy a wagon ride, tour the orchard and learn about farming.
The farm is open seasonally, from August to December. The popular hiking and bike trail "The Portage" runs adjacent to the orchards and many hikers and recreational visitors enjoy a stop at the orchard when it's open.
