The city of Shaker Heights has been around since 1912 and was first owned by the North Union Community. Within the city of Shaker Heights can be found strong multicultural communities and historic districts. Larchmere is a well-known historic district full of antique shops and consignments stores. Shaker Square has boutiques, beauty salons, fine dining and other retailers. Shaker Heights is known for its luxurious homes, condos and apartment living. It is located near the inner city, on the RTA rail line, with easy to access many of the local hospitals and colleges. This city has its own natural beauty and is a productive place to do business.
