Anthony Wayne Schools, founded in 1950, is a school district covering approximately 77-square-miles in southwestern Lucas County and include the communities of Monclova Township, Providence Township, Waterville and Whitehouse, Calif. The district offers K-12 education and operates a transportation center, an administration building and a maintenance center. Its buildings include Anthony Wayne High School, Anthony Wayne Junior High School, Fallen Timbers Middle School, Monclova Primary School, Waterville Primary School and Whitehouse Primary School. Some of its support services include bus transportation, hot lunches in all schools, special education programs, gifted education, math tutoring, intervention assistance teams, intervention teachers, nursing services, guidance counselors in all buildings, psychological services, youth challenge programs and new teacher mentoring.
