Allen County Regional Transit Authority offers transportation services through RTA buses and UPLIFT service. The services are offered from Monday through Saturday. UPLIFT is an alternative service offered for persons with disabilities who are unable to use the RTA fixed route bus service. UPLIFT's lift equipped vehicles provide curb-to-curb service within a three-mile radius of RTA's fixed route. The RTA s Rideshare Program offers opportunities for carpooling and vanpooling with other persons with similar commuting patterns. The agency does not operate transportation services on New Years Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, Independence Day and Christmas Day. The authority provides monthly passes that gives unlimited services to the purchaser for an entire month. It also offers free transfer services to reach to a destination, and ID cards to senior citizens and disabled persons. The RTA has headquarters in Lima, Ohio.
