Harvey Mennonite Brethren Church, located in Harvey, North Dakota, was established in 1895 by settlers from the Wittenburg, South Dakota area. The church initially held worship services in the homes of its members before constructing a wood frame building in 1900. As the congregation grew, a larger church was built in 1917-1918. Over the years, the church faced various challenges, including epidemics and the Great Depression, but continued to serve its members. In 1975, due to declining membership, the decision was made to merge with Bethel Baptist Church to form Cornerstone Community Church.
The church has a rich history and has been served by numerous pastors and deacons throughout the years. Today, the old church has been demolished, but the parsonage and cemetery still remain. The congregation has been affiliated with the Central District of Mennonite Brethren Churches, the US Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, and the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.
