History
Dr. Schaller has lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Wisconsin, but calls North Carolina home. Over six years ago she and her family, husband Bret and two oldest sons Synjyn and Sevryn, first arrived in Sanford. It didn't take long for them to realize they had found their home. Later Stratton and Reichen, two more boys, were born right here at CCH. Dr. Schaller earned her psychology undergrad from Univ of FL - Gainesville. She then graduated in the top of her class from the UW--Madison with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. With experience from several emergency only hospitals and day practices, and volunteer work for the Dane County Humane Society, Dr. Schaller joined a practice here in Sanford. She worked as an associate doctor for 5 1/2 years before opening Willow Creek Animal Hospital in May of 2008. Along the way, she served two terms as President of Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption, and is currently the Lee County Veterinarian with the Lee County Board of Health.
