History 1984: The Beginning Wickens Automotive, in Chelmsford Mass, was formed to provide automotive repair services for domestic and foreign light trucks and automobiles. 1987: The Chelmsford Mass. business transferred ownership to John Doyle, The name also changed to JD's Automotive and is still going strong today. Our goal was to relocate to Concord NC, in a leased building with the possibility of expanding into a building of our own. Once established, the new business showed moderate profitable growth and held at that level until we had established both an outstanding reputation and a secure financial background 1992: Wickens Automotive was at a point where it needed to enlarge its facilities and add employees to be able to keep up with the increasing demand. 1993. An offer to property near the intersections of Poplar Tent and Rock Hill Church Roads, in Concord was negotiated for our proposed relocation project. 1998 Our present location
