Director Leslie Durand began teaching dance at her mother's studio in Washington, Iowa. She directed studios in San Marcos, California; Seoul, Korea; and Tokyo, Japan.

Western Wake Dance Center provides a strong technical foundation in ballet, jazz, tap and tumbling in a caring, exuberant atmosphere to students age 3 and up.
