Wake Technical Community College, formerly known as the Wake County Industrial Education Center, offers a range of two-year educational programs to students in Raleigh in North Carolina. Founded in 1963, the college serves more than 30 full-time students. It is part of the North Carolina Community College System and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The college operates various campuses and training centers. It conducts classes at several community sites throughout Wake County in North Carolina. The college also offers Web-based and distance education programs. It provides degree, certificate and diploma courses in over 145 academic, vocational and technical subjects. The college additionally administers associate degree programs in science, art and general education. It conducts classes in parenting, cooking, photography, yoga and motorcycle safety. In addition, the college provides basketball, golf and soccer programs.
