History
The UNCSA Community Music School has been an outreach program of UNCSA since 1976. We bring the expertise of the conservatory to the community, providing both a preparatory experience for young musicians wishing to pursue a career in music, and an avenue for musicians of all ages to grow in their musicianship while focusing on their own areas of interest.
Specialties
The UNCSA Community Music School offers music lessons for all ages: babies through senior citizens. Our youngest students are enrolled in Musikgarten (ages 6 months to 5 years) and Suzuki Violin (ages 3 and up). Our teaching faculty is composed of professional working musician/educators, who perform in the area's top classical, jazz, and popular ensembles. Lessons are available in all orchestral and band instruments, folk instruments, electric instruments, and in composition and electronic music.
