Children's Advocacy Centers
Children's Advocacy Centers of North Carolina (CACNC) is an accredited state chapter of the National Children's Alliance, serving as the statewide leader in the fight against child abuse. With 55 child advocacy centers across the state, CACNC provides support, resources, and hope for children in abusive situations, offering a way out and a way forward. Their community-based, child-friendly centers foster hope and facilitate healing for traumatized child victims of physical and sexual abuse, child trafficking, neglect, and exposure to drugs and violence. CACNC connects local CACs and partners with the tools, resources, and support needed to provide a comprehensive response to children and supportive caregivers impacted by abuse. Through specially trained forensic interviewers, victim advocates, therapists, and rostered medical providers, CACNC ensures that children and non-offending caregivers receive the necessary services in a comfortable, child-focused setting. Committed to raising awareness and understanding of child abuse, CACNC empowers every adult in North Carolina to learn how to recognize, respond, and report child abuse and neglect.Generated from the website
