The Town of Leland Fire Rescue Department, established in 1959 as a volunteer non-profit organization, has evolved into a combination department serving the Town of Leland, the Town of Belville, and parts of northern Brunswick County. With a team of 48 full-time sworn personnel, a full-time civilian Administrative Coordinator, and volunteer sponsorship staff, they are dedicated to protecting and providing service to approximately 37,000 residents. Their mission is to serve, be ready, and create excellent outcomes, while their vision is to be the place of choice where motivated people can be their best.
Operating out of three fire stations, the Town of Leland Fire Rescue Department is engaged and dedicated in service to each other and the community, ensuring the safety, resources, and quality of life of the residents. They are committed to their core values and strive to fulfill their mission by delivering exceptional outcomes. With a focus on community outreach, resources, and fire insurance rating, the department plays a vital role in maintaining the well-being of the town and its surrounding areas.
