Friday Continuing Education is located in Chapel Hill, N.C., and offers a variety of online and print-based courses to more than 24,000 students. The center provides courses in various disciplines, such as general anthropology, history of western art, descriptive astronomy, financial and management accounting, media criticism, and dramatic and fiction writing and preproduction. Friday Continuing Education also offers various credit programs to part-time students. Its core curriculum also includes studies in psychology, child development, racial and ethnic relations, crime and delinquency, and formal organizations and bureaucracy. The center also offers a variety of student services that include programs in academic advising the financial assistance. Friday Continuing Education was established in 1789 and is a part of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
