Sampson Regional Medical Center provides community health care programs and medical services for residents and visitors of Sampson County and the surrounding communities of North Carolina. Located in Clinton, N.C., the hospital services include emergency, intensive care, physical, speech and occupational therapies and surgery. Sampson Regional Medical Center includes the facility, with around 150 beds, and emergency center in Clinton and regional clinics in Newton Grove, Harrells and Roseboro, N.C. The hospital has clinical affiliations with WakeMed and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for air ambulance services and referral networks for long-term care. Sampson Regional Medical Center is a member of the Coastal Healthcare Alliance, a health care system that encompasses portions of North Carolina and South Carolina. Encompassed within the hospital are primary and specialty practices for such areas as opthalmology, gynecology and urology. The hospital was founded in November of 1949 and is a nonprofit organization. Sampson County is the owner of Sampson Regional Medical Center and leases the hospital to Sampson Regional Medical Center, Inc. to operate the hospital.
