I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. While attending medical school, I met my wife, Leah, a gynecologic oncologist. Following fellowship training, I relocated to Raleigh in the summer of 2018 and our first child was born in September. I am thrilled to be a part of North Carolina Heart and Vascular.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I spent seven years at the bedside as a cardiac intensive care nurse (ICU) nurse. Those seven years provided invaluable wisdom and experience. Now, as a nurse practitioner, I work to approach every persons health care journey with empathy and grace. Outside of work, I love to spend my time outdoors with my husband and our three dogs. Growing up in a small, rural town as a farm girl makes one more aware of the dire needs of people, and for me, this was healthcare. Thus, I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. My philosophy of care is treating my patients with sincerity and respect while providing current, evidence-based, best medical practice. I also educate my patients about their diseases and make informed management decisions based on their unique needs and conditions. My areas of special interest include pituitary disorders as well as thyroid/parathyroid disorders. Outside of work, I enjoy walking/hiking and spending time with my family and friends.
