I am one of those people who always knew they wanted to become a doctor. My dad was a doctor, my mom was a dentist, and my grandfather was a veterinarian, so I came from a family of people interested in promoting health. My philosophy of patient care is to treat every patient coming into my examination room as if they are a very important person (VIP). My goal is for patients to understand the rationale and have access to treatment recommendations made at the clinic visit. I enjoy all aspects of primary care. My specialty is geriatric medicine, but for the past seven years, I have volunteered as a physician in a clinic caring for adults of all ages without insurance. Although geriatric medicine and indigent care do not seem related, they are both very underserved populations. The challenges and complexities in caring for these patients, along with hearing their life stories, drives my passion for medicine. Outside of work, I enjoy taking care of my family, participating in PopUP workout classes, gardening and being a University of Michigan sports fan.
