North Carolina League of Municipalities is a nonpartisan federation of more than 525 cities, towns and villages in North Carolina. It provides inquiry service for various municipal legal issues, including annexation, land acquisition, economic development, transportation programs, charter revisions and privatization and outsourcing. The league also provides services in environmental issues that include air quality, coastal land use, waste water, water quality and supply. North Carolina League of Municipalities offers its members self-funded governmental insurance pools that include workers compensation, health, property and liability coverages. Additionally, it provides an array of consulting services to assist municipal officials. North Carolina League of Municipalities is located in Raleigh, N.C.
